Kristy Olsen and Kristen Karanzias each drove in a pair of runs in the game. Olsen went 2-for-4 with a double and Karanzias was 1-for-2 with a triple. Ashley Killeen hit her third homer of the season and Katie Reichling went 2-for-4 with a run batted in.
Freshman Charissa Carlin (2-3) tossed five innings and allowed just one run on four hits to lift the Cyclones (4-12). Amie Ford tossed two innings of perfect ball in relief.
Kayla Lawson (1-3) got the loss for the Mean Green, who fall to 3-11. Lawson threw three innings and allowed four runs on six hits.
The Cyclones got on the board in the first on a Reichling line drive single to right field that scored Courtney Wray. Wray had reached on a single through the right side with one-out and stole second base to get into scoring position for Reichling, who delivered with a two-out hit to put the Cyclones on top.
The Cyclones took advantage of four hit batters in the fourth inning to add two more runs and push their lead to 4-0. Reichling had the lone hit in the inning, leading off with her second single to right field and later scoring on a ground out by Kristen Karanzias.
North Texas did get one back in the bottom of the fifth as Kyleigh Callender doubled to left center off Carlin to score Sarah Jones and cut the lead to 4-1.
Karanzias' triple to center in the seventh to score pinch runner Kelsey Kidwell made it 9-1.
Ford struck out the side in the seventh inning to secure the win.
