JACKSONVILLE, Fla. ? Iowa State got a two-run sixth-inning homer from Sydni Jones to tie the game and went on to beat Jacksonville, 4-2, to tie the best start in school history. The Cyclones (6-0) will play Jacksonville again Saturday at 9 a.m. in search of the best start in school history.
Jacksonville (1-7) held a 2-0 lead after five innings before Jones blasted her second homer of the season and 12th of her career to tie it at 2-2. Jones' home run scored Alex Johnson, who singled to lead off the inning, running her hitting streak to six games.

Bianca Lopez started the inning off with a walk and advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by Kelsey Kidwell. After a Carleigh Berry single, Amanda Bradberry singled to plate Lopez and give ISU its first lead of the game. The Cyclones added an insurance run as Bradberry scored on an error.
Zabriskie improved to 4-0 with the win, allowing five hits while striking out seven.
Brittany Abbott (0-1) took the loss for the Dolphins.
