OCALA, Fla. - Kendall Mallers, Anja Peck and Grace Swoboda represented Iowa State at the National Invitational Championships from March 12–14 in Ocala, Florida, helping the Cyclones tie for 31st place with 108 points, including diving scores.
"Anja making the A final and finishing fifth in the 200 breaststroke and Grace scoring in the B final with an 11th-place finish were great performances for us on our final day," said head coach Matt Leach. "I'm also proud of Kate and Maggie for their performances at the Zone Diving Championships, which helped contribute to our team points at NICs. The turnaround from the Big 12 Championships to NICs is not easy, but as we continue to grow and develop our competitive edge, we'll be back here next year and beyond. I'm really proud of our Cyclone Swim and Dive family."
