Cyclones Add Alezandra Robles; Gabriella Gomez

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State women's wrestling has added Arizona prep product Alezandra Robles and McKendree transfer Gabriella Gomez, head coach Alli St. John announced Tuesday.
With today's signings, Iowa State's incoming roster now sits at eight student-athletes.

Gabriella Gomez - 124 | So. | Carol Stream, Ill. | Glenbard North HS | McKendree
Gomez, a transfer from NCAA champions McKendree, posted a 17-6 record competing at 117 and 124 pounds in her one season with the Bearcats. She is a U17 World Silver Medalist (2022).
A Carol Stream, Illinois native, Gomez is a three-time state champion with an 87-0 prep record. She was rated as the No. 10 overall recruit in the Class of 2025 by FloWrestling and is a two-time Who's Number One champion, a Super 32 champion, US Open Girls High School Showcase champion and a two-time Fargo All-American.
She is the sister of former Cyclone men's wrestler Austin Gomez, who wrestled at Iowa State from 2018-21.
Alezandra Robles - 145 | Fr. | Tucson, Ariz. | Sunnyside HS
Robles, a Tucson, Arizona native, comes to Ames from Sunnyside High School where she was a three-time state placer and a two-time state finalist (2025, '26). She amassed a 110-18 prep record, including a 35-5 mark as a senior and a 31-1 record as a junior.
She helped Sunnyside, one of the premier wrestling high schools in the southwest United States, to two state team titles in her junior and senior seasons. Robles is a 2025 Queen of the Hill champion and a two-time finalist. She is also a two-time Flowing Wells Champion.
