Played and started all 34 games, helping the Wolverines to an outright WAC regular season championship and a national postseason tournament appearance in the NIT ... averaged 14.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game ... scored in double figures in 27 of his 34 games, including nine with at least 20 points … all three times he scored a season-high 25 points came in a road victory … ranked 13th nationally in free throw attempts (237) and 27th in free throws made (163) ... Nelson's ability to step up in big moments was evident in UVU's late-season push, including matching a season-high 25-points at Tarleton State, where he went 13-of-16 from the free throw line to help secure the outright WAC title ... scored 15 points with a season-high nine rebounds in a 77-75 win at Murray State.
