Andy Stubblefield joined the Iowa State Athletics Communications office in a full-time capacity in November 2021. He currently serves as the primary contact for wrestling and secondary contact for football.
Stubblefield originally handled communications efforts for soccer, softball and gymnastics before moving into his current position in the summer of 2022.
Prior to joining the Cyclones, Stubblefield was the primary contact for men’s basketball, women’s soccer and softball at South Dakota State.
Stubblefield spent two years at Troy University as an Athletics Communications Graduate Assistant where he served as the primary contact for baseball, volleyball and indoor track & field. Stubblefield also assisted with men’s and women’s basketball statistical duties and managed football social media accounts on gamedays.
Stubblefield got his start in athletic communications in 2017 as a student intern at Iowa State. Before graduating, Stubblefield worked as the primary contact for Cyclone tennis and gained valuable experience promoting a rising program under first-year head coach Boomer Saia.
Stubblefield owns a M.S. in strategic communications from Troy (2021) and a B.S. in public relations from Iowa State (2019). He is a native of Sioux City, Iowa and now resides in Ames.
