Madeline Prado began serving as a strength and conditioning coach in August of 2021. Her role is designing and implementing strength and conditioning programs for swimming and diving and men’s and women’s golf.Â
Prior to Iowa State, Prado served as an assistant coach at Mount St. Mary’s University where she primarily worked with women’s soccer and bowling and assisted with softball. Prado then worked as an assistant S&C coach at Smith College, working with soccer, swimming and diving and volleyball. Prado began her career at Fairleigh Dickinson and St. Peters University in New Jersey.
Prado is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and is Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) through CSCCa. Prado is also CPR/AED and first aid certified.
Prado received her master’s from Smith College in exercise and sports studies. At Smith College, Prado instructed an undergraduate weight training class and teacher assisted for undergraduate and graduate level courses in the ESS program. Prado earned her bachelor’s degree from Montclair State in exercise science.
