Tori Torrescano joined the Iowa State softball coaching staff as a volunteer assistant coach for the 2014 season.
Torrescano was one of the top all-around players in Iowa State history, playing a vital role for the Cyclones at the plate and in the circle. She finished her Iowa State career as the program’s all-time leader in home runs with 42 homers, among those the three-highest single season totals in school history with her 14 in 2012 and 2013 and 11 in 2011.
She also ranks in Iowa State’s career top-10 in runs (second, 97), RBIs (third, 131), doubles (third, 33), walks (sixth, 59), hits (ninth, 151), batting average (ninth, .300). In the circle, Torrescano led ISU in innings pitched and wins as a junior and senior. She finished her ISU career ranking in the all-time top-10 in games pitched (third, 110), games started (third, 75) and innings pitched (eighth, 434.1).
Torrescano graduated from Iowa State in December 2013 with a degree in kinesiology.
