AMES, Iowa -- The Cyclone women gymnastics team earned a team total of 196.150 to place first among No. 17 Oklahoma (195.375) and No. 10 Minnesota (195.025) in a triangular meet at Hilton Coliseum in Ames, Feb. 16. The Cyclones are now 5-2 and 2-1 in conference action.

In the balance beam competition, there was a two-way tie for first place, honoring Cyclone Stephanie Sweitzer and Gopher Jenny Alf for their scores of 9.90. There was a two-way tie for third place (9.850) with Huey (season-high) and Ishii.
The Cyclones' floor exercise team total marked a school record as Kringen placed first in the event for the third consecutive week with her career-high 9.950. Smith also recorded a career-high with a 9.925 to take second in the event.
Ishii placed first in the all-around competition with a 39.475 and Huey took second with a 39.425.
