MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- The 15th-ranked Iowa State gymnastics team notched a victory at No. 23 Minnesota (195.850-192.450).
ISU outscored Minnesota in every event with season-high scores overall and on uneven bars (49.025).
Iowa State swept the all-around competition. Cyclone sophomore Janet Anson placed first with a 39.30. Juniors Laura-Kay Powell (39.175) and Erin Dethloff (39.125), also scoring season highs, took second and third, respectively.
Anson shared the vault title with Gopher Carolyn Yernberg (9.825). Minnesota's Angela Walker and Laura Johnson tied Cyclones Jade Kvach and Powell (9.750) for third.
With a career-high score of 9.85, Kvach claimed first-place honors on bars. Sharing second were teammates Powell and Dethloff (9.825), with Anson (9.80) in fourth.
ISU boasted another sweep on balance beam. Powell notched a first-place finish with a 9.875. Cyclone sophomore Ashley Alden tied teammates Anson and Dethloff (9.825).
Anson won the floor title with a 9.85, while Alden took second (9.825) and Dethloff and fellow junior Cyclone Kacey Oiness shared third (9.80).
