AMES, Iowa ? Iowa State ended its regular season undefeated at Hilton Coliseum with a victory over Minnesota (197.000-194.750). Six Cyclones matched or broke previous records in the victory, helping ISU record its highest team score of the season.
Cyclone junior Laura-Kay Powell claimed first on vault with a score of 9.900, while sophomore Janet Anson took second with 9.875. Junior Erin Dethloff shared third-place honors with Gophers sophomore Laura Johnson (9.875). Katie Lasher tied a season-high 9.8 to tie for fifth. Cyclone freshman Lindsey Murphy set a career high on vault (9.750) to share eighth.
Iowa State swept the top five spots on bars en route to a season-high team score of 49.325. Anson led the way while matching a career high (9.90). Dethloff and Powell recorded scores of 9.875, sharing second-place honors. Junior Kacey Oiness set a new career high on bars (9.95) in her fourth-place finish. Rounding out the top five was sophomore Ashley Alden, who also set a career best (9.825).
Dethloff and Powell shared first on the beam, as each tied season-high scores of 9.90. Anson also matched a season-high score (9.825) to tie for third. Cyclone senior Abigail Richey notched a 9.775 to finish eighth in her final home meet.
The Cyclones finished the night with a season-high team score on the floor (49.475). Erin Dethloff set a season high (9.95) in her first-place finish while Anson matched a season high (9.925) to capture second. Powell took third, matching her season high (9.90). Oiness seized fourth (9.875) with a new season best. Alden tied a career high (9.825) in her sixth-place finish.
ISU swept the all-around as Dethloff and Powell shared first (39.575) and Anson took third (39.525).
