AMES, Iowa ? Nebraska scored five runs in the first inning and never looked back on its way to a 10-0 win over Iowa State Tuesday afternoon at the Southwest Athletic Complex.
Iowa State (19-24, 1-8 Big 12), playing with a revised lineup, were able to manage just two hits off of Nebraska starter Molly Hill. Katie Harms had a first inning single and Courtney Wray beat out an infield hit to provide the only offense for the Cyclones, who started five freshmen.

After ISU starter Rachel Zabriskie got NU's top hitter Meghan Mullin to foul out to start the game, the Huskers got things going with a Darcy Rutherford single and steal. After a fielding error by the Cyclones, Zabriskie fanned Kelli Linke for what should have been the third out of the inning.
The Huskers then took advantage of their second chance as Amanda Duran had a two-run double and Jamie Gay added a three-run homer, her first of the year, to make it 5-0.
Nebraska tacked on two more in the second on Julie Brechtel's fourth homer of the year.
NU plated a pair of runs in the fourth and one in the fifth to cap off the scoring.
While Nebraska was scoring at the plate, Hill (19-7) was cruising in the circle, sending down 13 of ISU's next 15 hitters after Harms' first-inning single. Hill finished with four strikeouts while allowing two hits in four innings of work. Ashley Hagemann tossed a scoreless fifth inning in relief for NU.
Zabriskie (12-19) took the loss for the Cyclones, lasting just 1.1 innings while allowing seven runs. Only two of the runs Zabriskie gave up were earned.
Lauren Kennewell logged her longest outing of the season. Kennewell allowed four hits and three runs in 3.2 innings of work.
Iowa State and Nebraska will meet again Thursday in Lincoln, Neb. First pitch is slated for 5 p.m.
