AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State women's basketball team (13-4, 4-2 Big 12) downed TCU (11-6, 3-3 Big 12), 80-62, Wednesday night in Hilton Coliseum. The win would extend the Cyclones' winning streak to 11-straight in Hilton Coliseum.
How It Happened…Iowa State would jump out of the gate quickly, going on a 6-0 run over three minutes of play to grab a 20-13 lead with 7:33 to play in the first half after four-straight points from
Bryanna Fernstrom off the bench. Iowa State would end up taking a 34-27 lead to the locker room.
Iowa State would open the half on a 10-2 run that was capped by a 3-pointer by Kidd Blaskowsky to take a 44-29 lead with 16:45 to play. A short run by TCU would not be enough as the Cyclones would continue their offensive surge to lead the Horned Frogs by as much as 22 points off a layup by Fernstrom and an assist from
Emily Durr, 57-35.
Iowa State would outrebound the Horned Frogs 43-34 as
Seanna Johnson hauled in 13 rebounds to lead the Cyclones.
Fernstrom came off the bench to lead Iowa State with 18 points.
Nikki Moody and Johnson would lead the Cyclones with 15 points apiece. Moody would also dish a game-high six assists. Kidd Blaskowsky (11) and
Brynn Williamson (12) would round out the Cyclones in double-figures.
Game Ball Goes To…Kidd Blaskowsky. Blaskowsky seemed to have the spark the Cyclones needed during their scoring droughts against the Horned Frogs. Blaskowsky shot 4-of-7 from the field and 3-of-5 from beyond the arc. Blaskowsky would finish 11 points.
Cyclone Quick Hits*The Cyclones extended its NCAA-record 629-consective games with a three-pointer.
*Iowa State netted 10 or more three-pointers for the eighth time this season.

Brynn Williamson notched her 12th game in double-figures on the season, 40th of her career.
