AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State softball team returns to the Cyclone Sports Complex this weekend for a three-game series against Big 12 foes Texas Tech. The first game between the Cyclones and Red Raiders will be at 4 p.m., with the Saturday and Sunday games featuring noon start times.
All three games of the series, like all games at the Cyclone Sports Complex, is free for all fans to attend.

Cyclone Headlines- Coming off a pair of mid-week wins, the Iowa State softball team is back at the Cyclone Sports Complex this weekend for a three-game, Big 12 series against Texas Tech. Game one will be at 4 p.m. Friday with the other games Saturday and Sunday at noon.
- The Cyclones are back above .500 overall after picking up a pair of 11-3, 6-inning wins over Green Bay Wednesday afternoon. The Cyclone bats were active, as ISU combined for 31 hits, 13 extra base hits and five home runs in the two games.
- Brittany Gomez went 4-for-8 for the doubleheader, tying a season high with three stolen bases in the second game. Gomez is in pursuit of multiple ISU single-season and career records heading into the final half-dozen games of 2015.
- Gomez leads the Big 12 with her 72 base hits on the season. She is five from tying, six from breaking ISU's single-season record set by Jenny Condon in 1988. Gomez is even closer to Condon's career hits record of 216. The junior is currently on 213 career hits, three from tying and four from breaking that record.
- With her three steals against the Phoenix to move to 29 on the season (second in the Big 12), Gomez is two stolen bases away from tying her single-season record of 31 from 2013. She is ISU's all-time stolen bases record holder with 84.
- Aly Cappaert had a home run in each game against Green Bay. Cappaert is up to eight home runs on the season and is second on the Cyclones with her .331 batting average and 28 RBIs.
- With her three RBIs in the Wednesday doubleheader, Lexi Slater is now up to 40 RBIs on the season, teh seventh time in ISU history a Cyclones has gone above 40 RBIs in a season. She has 128 RBIs in her career, fourth-most in ISU history.
- In the first game of the Green Bay doubleheader, Kelsey McFarland recorded her third grand slam of the season. The freshman from New Prague, Minn. has been hot as of late, upping her batting average to .291 on the season. In Big 12 play, McFarland leads ISU with a .387 batting average.
- Stacy Roggentien got the win in the circle for ISU in game one of the Green Bay doubleheader. The senior has become the ISU ace this season, now with an 11-6 record. Roggentien has pitched more innings against Big 12 opponents this year (30.1) than she did total last year (29.1).
