Iowa State started the meet on vault and recorded a solid score of 48.925, but their afternoon was faced with adversity from there on. Even though the overall score wasn't what Iowa State hoped for, head coach Jay Ronayne was proud of the way his team stuck together during the meet.
"We had to to deal with a whole bunch of weird things that don't really happen, I'm just proud of the way the team stuck together through that," Ronayne said. "Nobody got too low, and everyone was able to help each other out through the whole meet. I am just really proud of the way the team works together."
