Chookaew Named Big 12 Women's Golfer of the Month

IRVING, Texas - Iowa State senior Pammy Chookaew has been named the Big 12 Women's Golfer of the Month, the league announced Thursday.
It is the first monthly honor for Chookaew and the first by a Cyclone since April 2024.
Chookaew won the Wolverine Invitational, highlighting a month with three top-five finishes individually and helping the Cyclones to three top five-finishes as a team. The senior from Thailand won the event at the Allister McKenzie-designed University of Michigan Golf Club by one stroke, pacing the 81-woman field at -5. The two-time All-Big 12 Championship Team selection tied for fifth at the Schooner Fall Classic, firing a 6-under 204 before finishing her month with a runner-up finish at the Windy City Collegiate Classic, carding a 8-under 208.
The Cyclones return to action Oct. 17-19 at the Stanford Intercollegiate.
