Cyclones Earn 15th-Straight NCAA Regional Bid

AMES, Iowa - The streak continues.

Iowa State has earned its 15th-straight trip to an NCAA Women's Golf Regional. The Cyclones were selected to play in the NCAA Lubbock Regional, May 5-7 in Lubbock, Texas, as the No. 5 seed.

The NCAA Lubbock Regional will be held at The Rawls Golf Course with Texas Tech as the host. The top five teams in the six regionals will advance to the NCAA Championships, May 16-21 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif. The top individual in each regional not among the teams advancing will also punch a ticket to Carlsbad.

This marks the 19th time and the 15th year in a row (1993-96, 2010-25) Iowa State has qualified for an NCAA Regional. In 2014, the Cyclones advanced to the NCAA Championships for the first and only time in school history, qualifying out of the NCAA West Regional held at Tumble Creek in Cle Elum, Wash.

Iowa State finished sixth at the Big 12 Championship, while having a pair of players earn All-Tournament honors in Karisa Chul-Ak-Sorn and Pammy Chookaew. Both Chul-Ak-Sorn and Chookaew tied for fifth, marking the fourth-straight year the Cyclones have had multiple players earn All-Tournament honors. Iowa State picked up a pair of wins this year at the Bama Beach Bash and the Cowgirl Classic.

The Cyclones enters the postseason ranked No. 30 nationally.
