Cyclones Finish Third At The Silverado Showdown

NAPA, Calif.— The Cyclones finished the Silverado Showdown in third place. The Cyclones shot a +2 round to put their 54-hole total at a +3. Six strokes behind the winner, who was Northwestern. Nichakorn Pinprayoon took the Cyclones one spot after the tournament, shooting a two-over round, putting her total at two-under. This placed her in a tie for 8th as she also racked up three birdies in her final round.

Alexandra Vidal took the Cyclones second spot as she finished in a tie for 11th after her second one-under round in a row. Vidal's four birdies on her back nine helped move her up in her final round. Pammy Chookaew found herself in the Cyclones third spot after shooting a clean one-over round. She finished off in a tie for 17th while grabbing three birdies in her final round. Karisa Chul-Ak-Sorn's five birdies today helped move her up to a tie for 26th after shooting an even round to leave her total at four-over after 54 holes.

Keeley Marx found herself in the Cyclones fifth spot after shooting a two-over round, putting her in a tie for 53rd. Marx's total after 54 holes was 12-over. Isabella Yan played as the Cyclones individual and found herself in a tie for 81st as she shot four-over in her final round, totaling a 20-over tournament.

With eight ranked teams in the field, the Cyclones found a way to keep the momentum going with a respectable podium finish. The Cyclones will next head to Houston, Texas, to compete in the Big 12 Championship April 15-17th.
