Beauvy Jumps into the Top 15 Entering the Final Round of NCAA Urbana Regional

URBANA, Illinois - Paul Beauvy jumped 19 spots to tie for 14th (-1) after the second round at the NCAA Urbana Regional.Â
Beauvy shot a 68 (-3), tying the seventh-lowest round in an NCAA Regional or Championship in school history, and tied the seventh-lowest round in the field today. Beauvy once again started out hot, grabbing birdies on the 1st, 6th, and 7th holes before bogeying the 8th to shoot two-under on the front nine. Another bogey on 11 was quickly wiped away with birdies on Holes 12 and 14 to finish with five birdies on the day.
After two rounds, Beauvy has shot even-par on the Par 3's, the fifth-best mark in the field. The junior has carded seven birdies these last two days.
To advance to the NCAA Championships, Beauvy will need to be the top individual on a non-advancing team after the final round. Currently, he sits five strokes back from that top spot.
Beauvy will tee off the final round Wednesday morning at 10:23Â a.m. CT.
