URBANA, Illinois - Paul Beauvy finishes in a tie for 11th (-4) at the NCAA Urbana Regional. This marks the ninth-best finish at an NCAA Regional or Championship in Iowa State history, and his 54-hole score of 209 ties the fourth-lowest in school history. This was Beauvy's first NCAA Regional appearance, and he finishes the season with a 70.91 scoring average, the fourth-lowest in program history.Â
The Iowa State junior opened up the day with two birdies before carding his fourth eagle of the season on the Par 5 sixth hole. Bogeys on the 7th and 11th holes were met with a birdie on Hole 16, and then back-to-back pars to complete his final round with a 68 (-3).
Across all three rounds, the Saint-Alban native had the fourth-lowest score on the Par 3's (E) and seventh-lowest on Par 5's (-6) in the field. Beauvy finishes the regional with ten birdies and an eagle.
#2 Oklahoma State and host #14 Illinois share the team title at the NCAA Urbana Regional, finishing 15 strokes below-par. Michigan's #50 Hunter Thompson, an individual, won the top individual honors at ten under-par, advancing to the NCAA Championships.Â
