Primer: Cyclones End The First Two Round In Second

NORMAN, Okla.— The Cyclones handled their first two rounds in style. They currently sit alone in second after shooting eight-under after 36 holes. The Cyclones started off a little slow compared to the rest of the field, shooting one-over after the first round, but turned it around in the second. The Cyclones shot a nine-under second round, making it the second-best round in the field.

Pammy Chookaew hasn't stepped off the gas since her last tournament, shooting four-under after her first two rounds. Chookaew leads the Cyclones so far with nine birdies after 36 holes. Chookaew currently sits in a tie for eighth with fellow Cyclone Nichakoran Pinprayoon. Pinprayoon helped the Cyclones by also shooting four-under and sitting in a tie for eighth. Pinprayoon came out with six birdies after her first two rounds.

Karisa Chul-Ak-Sorn sits in a tie for 24th after even par with a two-over and two-under split. Chul-Ak-Sorn had the birdies rolling with seven total and five coming from the second round. Isabella Yan did her thing, shooting two-over after 36 holes, placing her in a tie for 36th. Yan totaled six birdies after her two rounds. Alexandra Vidal made her season debut for the Cyclones, shooting a one-over and four-over round. Vidal currently sits in a tie for 57th and will look to get in the red numbers with one round to play.

Iowa State will play the final round tomorrow morning at 9am.
