AMES, Iowa – Iowa State women's basketball head coach Bill Fennelly has announced nine additions to the 2026-27 roster.
"I could not be more pleased with the players that we have added to our Cyclone family this spring" said Fennelly. "Our focus and plan in our recruiting efforts started with bringing in players who were excited to play at Iowa State and experience Hilton Magic. We wanted to find players who had a variety of skill sets and basketball experience. I can't wait to get everyone together and to get to work. I know our fans will love how this group represents the Iowa State Way!"
The group includes incoming seniors Mya Babbitt, Ashleigh Connor and Gift Ezekiel, junior Reggi Spotts, sophomores Alex-Anne Bessette, Emilija "Mills" Dakic and Sienna Harvey and freshman Tjaša Turnšek. Incoming freshman Macy Comito also signed with the Cyclones in November 2025.

Mya Babbitt | Guard | Senior | Papillion, Neb. (Kent State)
Babbitt comes to Iowa State following three seasons at Kent State where she was an All-MAC selection and set the single-season record for made 3-pointers in 2024-25 with 83 triples. As a junior, Babbitt led the MAC and ranked sixth nationally for free throw percentage (.905) and also ranked among the top five in the conference for 3-pointers per game, 3-point percentage, points per game and minutes per game. Her 24 games with double-digit scoring led Kent State, highlighted by a career-high 30 points on 6-of-9 shooting from 3-point range at Ohio State (Nov. 19, 2025). The Papillion, Nebraska native pulled down a career-high 11 rebounds to go along with 13 points to secure her first collegiate double-double against Miami (Ohio). Entering her senior season in 2026-27, Babbitt has made 22-straight free throws, dating back to Kent State's Feb. 18 contest against NIU.
In her first two seasons at Kent State, the 5-8 guard played in 54 contests and started 30 of 33 games as a sophomore. She averaged 11.8 points and 4.2 rebounds in 2024-25 and scored a then-career-high 25 points against Xavier (Nov. 23, 2024). A graduate of Millard South High School, Babbitt led the Patriots to a Nebraska Class A State Championship as a senior, scoring 30 points in the championship game and setting the all-division record with eight 3-pointers in the semifinal game. She was a two-time all-state and three-time all-conference selection.
Alex-Anne Bessette | Guard/Forward | Sophomore | Quebec City, Canada (Loyola Chicago)
A three-time All-Canadian and AmeriCup silver medalist, Bessette started 32 of the 33 games she played in for Loyola Chicago in 2025-26. She led the Ramblers with 19 games of double-figure scoring, including five contests with 20-plus, in her freshman season while posting career highs of 23 points and eight rebounds at Saint Louis (Jan. 24, 2026). Bessette also led Loyola in total blocks (29) and blocks per game (0.9) on the season. In her freshman season, she was recognized with Atlantic 10 All-Conference Third Team and Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team honors while earning A-10 Rookie of the Week honors twice throughout the year.
While playing with Team Canada, Bessette helped capture silver at the 2024 FIBA U18 Women's Americas Championship in Colombia. She also helped her prep team to the 2025 OSBA Championship, earning Second Team All-Star honors after a standout showing in the title game. The 6-2 forward played in the AAU circuit with Kia Nurse EYBL, one of North America's premier programs.
Macy Comito | Guard | Freshman | Carlisle, Iowa (Carlisle)
The 2026 Class 4A State Champion and All-Tournament Team Captain led Carlisle to a 26-1 record during her senior season, averaging 20.7 points and 3.4 assists per game. Comito finished her career as a three-time all-state and all-district selection and earned all-conference honors four times.

Ashleigh Connor | Guard | Senior | Pittsburgh, Pa. (Saint Louis/La Salle)
An Atlantic 10 All-Conference selection, Connor comes to Iowa State after leading La Salle in scoring (15.8 ppg) and distributing (3.9 apg) during the 2025-26 season. Her points and assists each ranked third in the A-10 as well. The 5-10 guard was one of just 24 women's basketball players this season to average at least 15.8 points per game and 3.9 assists per game while maintaining a 1.33 assist/turnover ratio. The Explorers' leading scorer finished 30 of 33 contests in double figures while posting a career-high 26 points against Loyola Chicago (Feb. 28, 2026). She notched her first career double-double against West Chester (Nov. 18, 2025) with 18 points and a career-high 12 rebounds.
As a redshirt-sophomore at La Salle, Connor played and started in 29 games and led her team in total points (314) and assists (90). The highlight of the Explorers' season was Connor hitting the game-winning buzzer-beater against VCU in the Atlantic 10 Tournament. She posted a season-high 21 points against Delaware and grabbed a season-high 11 rebounds against Virginia. Prior to La Salle, Connor spent two seasons at Saint Louis. She redshirted as a freshman as the Billikens went on to win the 2023 Atlantic 10 Championship before appearing in 18 games the next season. A graduate of Mount Lebanon High School in Pittsburgh, Connor was named the Pittsburgh Post Gazerre Player of the Year as a senior after leading her team to a PIAA State Championship Runner-Up finish. She was also a finalist for Miss PA Basketball and a four-time all-section and all-conference player.
Emilija "Mills" Dakic | Guard | Sophomore | Melbourne, Australia (Florida)
Dakic comes to Ames following one season at Florida where she appeared in 30 games and made three starts during her freshman season. She scored a season-high 10 points against South Carolina (Jan. 4, 2026) on 4-of-8 shooting from the floor. The 5-10 guard also recorded season highs of four rebounds (at Auburn, Jan. 11, 2026) and three assists (vs. West Georgia, Dec. 14, 2025) in her rookie season.
Dakic, a Melbourne, Australia native, was a 2024 U18 FIBA Asia Cup gold medalist and a two-time Case Cavalier Junior of the Year (2018, 2022). She also represented Australia at the U19 World Cup in 2025, earning a silver medal, and the 2024 U17 World Cup. Dakic attended the Basketball Australia Centre of Excellence (CoE) and trained with Southside Flyers, an elite team that competes in the Women's National Basketball League.
Gift Ezekiel | Forward | Senior | Edo, Nigeria (Florida)
Ezekiel reunites with former Florida teammate Mills Dakic after the two spent last season with the Gators. Ezekiel played in 31 games as a strong presence on the low block. The 6-1 center shot 59.6 percent from the floor, one of just 40 players nationally to finish the season with that percentage or better. Against Jacksonville (Nov. 10, 2025), she scored a season-high nine points, making all three of her field goal attempts and finishing 3-of-4 at the free throw line. Ezekiel also spent time in Japan, competing for Tokyo Healthcare University from 2023-25.
Sienna Harvey | Guard | Sophomore | Wodonga, Australia (Washington)
Harvey joins the Cyclone following her freshman season at Washington joining the Huskies for their 2026 NCAA Tournament appearance. In her collegiate debut, she posted 15 points against Seattle (Nov. 3, 2025) on 6-of-10 shooting from the floor. The 5-10 guard notched a career-high 22 points on 9-of-11 shooting against Pacific (Dec. 21, 2025) in just 17 minutes of game action. Harvey totaled nine points and a career-high five assists against UC San Diego (Nov. 28, 2025).
Prior to Washington, Harvey graduated from Lake Ginninderra College. The Wodonga, Australia native joined Iowa State teammate Mills Dakic to win a silver medal with Australia at the 2025 U19 World Cup. Harvey also won three gold medals at Asia Cup (2022, 2024) and Oceania 2023.
Reggi Spotts | Guard | Junior | Nora Springs, Iowa (NIACC)
The lone Iowa native among the Cyclones' 2026 transfer class, Spotts arrives in Ames following two seasons at North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC). She led NIACC to Junior College Nationals where she was recognized with all-tournament team honors and scored her 1,000th career point. Spotts was a six-time ICCAC Division II player of the week in 2025-26 and named the NJCAA Region II-B Tournament Most Valuable Player. She was selected NJCAA Division II First Team All-America following the season. She averaged 18.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game while shooting 35 percent from 3-point range. The 5-8 guard scored a career-high 30 points against Northeast CC (Jan. 31, 2026) and matched the total against Iowa Western CC (Feb. 28, 2026).
A native of Nora Springs, Spotts competed in basketball, cross country, soccer and softball for Mason City High School. She was a three-time all-conference selection in both basketball and soccer. On the court, the 5-8 guard averaged double-figure scoring all four seasons of her prep career, including 17.9 points per game as a junior.
Tjaša Turnšek | Forward | Freshman | Rogaska Slatina, Slovenia
Turnšek joins the Iowa State squad as one of Slovenia's most promising up and coming players. Competing for the youth national team in 2025 FIBA U18 Women's EuroBasket, Turnšek averaged 18.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game while posting a 19.9 efficiency. Competing at the U20 event in the same year, the 6-2 forward averaged 11.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. Turnšek helped Slovenia to the Women Adriatic Basketball Association (WABA) U17 League Championship and earned MVP honors in 2023 and 2024.
