AMES, Iowa - Iowa State men's golf head coach Andrew Tank has announced the upcoming 2026-27 schedule. The Cyclones are slated to play in 11 regular season tournaments, followed by the Big 12 and NCAA Championships. Of the 11 tournaments, the Cyclones will return to six of them that they participated in last season.
The first two events of the year are flipped from a year ago, as Iowa State opens the season Sept. 14-15 at the Bearcat Invitational before traveling to the Gopher Invitational Sept. 20-21. The Cyclones tied for fourth at the Gopher Invitational last season.
A new event on the schedule is the Cullan Brown Collegiate, hosted by Kentucky in Lexington Oct. 5-6. Big 12 Match Play returns this fall, as Iowa State will head to Salt Lake City, Utah for the event Oct. 12-14. The Cyclones will close the fall portion of the schedule with a return trip to the Steelwood Collegiate, hosted by South Alabama in Loxley, Ala.
The spring portion of the schedule begins Feb. 1-2 at the National Invitational Tournament in Tucson, Ariz. At last year's event, Iowa State finished third in the 13 team field behind No. 5 Texas and No. 30 Arizona. Owen Sawyer took third, finishing 11 strokes under par. Two weeks later, the Cyclones head to South Carolina for the first of back-to-back tournaments in the Palmetto State. Iowa State will play in the Battle at Briar's Creek Feb. 15-16 before a return trip to the Colleton River Collegiate March 7-8.
Following a two week break, Iowa State returns to the Bell Bank Collegiate, an event the Cyclones finished second in last season. Played in Litchfield Park, Ariz., the event will be held March 22-23. Iowa State opens April with the first of back-to-back new events, traveling to the Mason Rudolph Championship, held April 2-4 in Franklin, Tenn. The final regular season event of the year is the Everett Buick GMC Classic April 12-13 in Little Rock, Ark.
The Big 12 Championship is set for April 26-28 in Columbus, Texas. NCAA Regionals are scheduled for May 17-19, while the NCAA Championships will be held May 28-June 2 in Carlsbad, Calif.
