Concluded sophomore campaign with a 26-9 record…recorded five major decisions and nine pins…qualified for the NCAA tournament with a third-place showing at the Big 12 Championships…went 0-2 at the NCAA tournament…placed first at the Harold Nichols/Cyclone Open and at the Kaye Young/NIACC Open…registered a second-place finish at the Kaufman Brand Open…defeated Neil Erisman of Oklahoma State in a wild 8-7 decision that led to a close Cyclone victory…opened the season with a pin over Jordan Hancock of Dana in 1:55.
2008 - 09
Finished freshman season with a 23-13 record ... recorded four major decisions, three technical falls and six falls ... competed at the Grand View Open ... made five starts at 174 pounds for the Cyclones, including on the road at Oregon State and the NWCA/Cliff Keen National Duals ... edged Indiana’s Trevor Perry in overtime at the National Duals, 2-1 (TB1) ... wrestled unattached at the Midlands Championships, posting a 3-2 mark ... won by major decision over American’s Chris Stout, 8-0 ... took runner-up honors at the UNI Open ... was a fourth-place finisher at the Kaufman-Brand Open ... competed at the Harold Nichols/Cyclone Open ... took first place at the Kaye Young Open.
