Wrestled to a 7-6 mark, which included a 1-4 record in dual action… won the Dave Edmonds Open… took the title with a 5-4 decision over Colston DiBlasi… defeated Luke Drugac of Old Dominion at the Virginia Duals, 7-2.

2016-17
Battled back from a preseason injury to rejoin the Iowa State lineup in the second half of the season… wrestled to a 5-11 overall record and 0-8 in duals… in the pigtail round at the Big 12 Championship he defeated Air Force’s Ricky Padilla by 20-4 technical fall… took third place at the Pat ‘Flash’ Flanagan Open after dropping his first round match… won his final four matches of the event with two technical falls and two pins.

2015-16
Recorded a 14-15 overall record, including a 2-6 mark in dual competition… finished on the podium at the 2016 Big 12 Championship with sixth-place honors… defeated Kyle Gliva of North Dakota State by 13-2 major-decision to clinch his top-6 finish… took home the 157-pound title at the Missouri Valley College Open, posting four bonus-point victories… knocked off Virginia Tech’s Jake Spengler by 12-7 decision to spark a Cyclone-upset over the No. 6 Hokies… finished third at the Cyclone open with an emphatic 10-second fall over Grand View’s Grant Henderson in the consolation championship match.

2014-15
Redshirted his initial season in an Iowa State singlet... finished second place at the Kaye Young Open, and fourth place at the UNI Open, respectively... recorded 10 bonus-point wins, including four falls while wrestling unattached.

Compiled a 197-22 prep record... was a two-time Fargo All-American, finishing fourth in 2013 at 152lbs and fifth in 2014 at 160lbs ... two-time Maryland state champion, wrestling to titles at the 145-pound and 160-pound weight classes ... reached the podium three times at nationals as a prep athlete.
