Earned the starting job at 165 pounds and wrestled in three duals before suffering a season-ending knee injury … went 1-2 with both losses coming by decision to top-10 opponents … was locked in a tight match with Iowa’s No. 2 Michael Caliendo before getting hurt in the second period … managed to finish the match but dropped a 12-7 decision to the Hawkeye … defeated Navy’s Charlie Evans via tech fall for his lone win of the season.
2023-24
Posted a 20-4 record in his first season of competition … made his dual debut with a 10-7 victory over NCAA Qualifier Joey Bianchi of Little Rock … won open titles at the Grand View and Doane open tournaments … placed third at the Daktronics Open and Soldier Salute … defeated Minnesota’s No. 32 Blaine Brenner, 16-13, at the Soldier Salute … registered 17 bonus-point victories (two falls, nine tech falls and six major decisions).

Joins the Cyclones from Westerville North High School where he became the school’s first state champion since 2010 … two-time state champion … went 39-0 and earned his first title as a junior at 145 pounds in Ohio’s Division I class … pinned his opponent in 98 seconds to win his second state title as a senior at 157 pounds … finished final season with a 37-2 record and a 134-12 career mark.
