Took advantage of the NCAA’s new redshirt rule which allows freshmen to wrestle on up to five countable dates and maintain their redshirt status … posted a 17-5 overall record, including 15-5 in countable matches, during his redshirt year … registered eight bonus-point victories (four major decisions, one tech fall, three pins) … claimed three open titles (Daktronics Open, UNI Open, North Country Open) … placed second at the Grand View Open … defeated No. 15 Kyle Biscoglia at the Daktronics Open.

Wrestled his senior season for Dowling Catholic after moving to Iowa from Louisiana … No. 206 rated overall prospect in the country according to MatScouts … finished his high school career with a 165-2 overall record, including 146 bonus-point victories … posted a 34-1 record and won a state championship at 132 pounds as a senior … junior freestyle champion at 132 pounds … also won three state titles at Holy Cross High School in Louisiana … helped Holy Cross to a team runner-up finish in 2021.
