NCAA All-American at 141 pounds … placed seventh as the No. 9 seed and scored 9.0 points at the 2025 NCAA Championships … became the 311th All-American in program history and the 164th individual Cyclone to reach the podium at the national tournament … navigated an NCAA bracket that was loaded with seven returning All-Americans and two national champions … defeated 2023 national champion Andrew Alirez (Northern Colorado) in the second round of the tournament, avenging a loss from 11 days prior at the Big 12 Championship … advanced to the national quarterfinals before falling to top-seeded Brock Hardy (Nebraska) … overcame a 6-1 deficit to beat Michigan’s No. 14 Sergio Lemley, 9-8, in the Blood Round to secure All-America status … won by 17-3 major decision over Minnesota’s No. 6 Vance VomBaur in the seventh-place match … Jacob and his twin brother, Evan, became the first set of Cyclone brothers to qualify for the NCAA Championships in the same season since Michael and Gabe Moreno in 2015 … Jacob and Evan were one of five sets of brothers and two sets of twins in the 2025 NCAA Championship field.

2022-23
Took advantage of the NCAA’s new redshirt rule which allows freshmen to wrestle on up to five countable dates and maintain their redshirt status … posted a 14-3 overall record, including an 11-2 mark in countable matches, in his redshirt season … registered eight bonus-point wins (three major decisions, four tech falls, one pin) … wrestled in the first dual of the season against Little Rock and defeated Jayden Gomez … claimed four open titles (Grand View Open, Cyclone Open, UNI Open, North Country Open).

High School
Wrestled his senior season for Dowling Catholic after moving to Iowa from Louisiana … rated as the No. 224 overall prospect in the nation according to MatScouts … five-year varsity starter in high school, compiling a 194-13 record … posted a 32-2 record and a state runner-up finish at 138 pounds as a senior … earned three state titles for Holy Cross High School in Louisiana … helped Holy Cross to a team runner-up finish in 2021.
