Hurdlers Head for Drake Relays Finals

DES MOINES, Iowa ? Iowa State's Eric Parker qualified for the final of the men's 110-meter high hurdles during the Friday afternoon session of the 100th running of the Drake Relays in Drake Stadium. The Kensett native was fourth in his preliminary with a 14.53-second clocking. Cyclone freshman Ian Warner made the final of the men's 100-meters, with a second-place finish in his heat. His time was 10.69 seconds.
Iowa State's 4 x 1600-meter relay team placed 12th overall with a time of 17:22.57.
In field event competition, ISU's Danielle Frere placed 12th in the women's shot put with a throw of 47-10 ?.
Jenna Caffrey of Iowa State won her heat in the 100-meter hurdles in 14.29 seconds, qualifying the Burlington native Saturday's final.
