AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State softball team will finish the 2015 regular season with eight-straight home games, starting Wednesday when the Cyclones host Green Bay in a doubleheader at the Cyclone Sports Complex. First pitch between the Cyclones and Phoenix will be at 1 p.m. with the second game starting 30 minutes after the first.
The doubleheader, like all games at the Cyclone Sports Complex, is free for all fans to attend.
Both games will be shown live on Cyclones.TV Powered by Mediacom and the Cyclones.TV web player.

Cyclone Headlines- The Iowa State softball team will play its final mid-week games Wednesday at the Cyclone Sports Complex when ISU welcomes Green Bay for a doubleheader, starting at 1 p.m.
- The Cyclones wrapped up its latest Big 12 road trip at No. 16 Baylor last weekend. Baylor won the series with a game one win 2-0 and a series finale win 6-0. ISU was able to pick up a win over the Bears 4-1 in the second game of the series.
- Iowa State's win was the Cyclones' first over Baylor since 2011, ISU's first in Waco since 2008 and the first over a ranked team since the Cyclones knocked off then-No. 8 Oregon in 2013.
- ISU centerfielder Brittany Gomez leads the Big 12 with 68 base hits. She is closing in on ther Iowa State career record for hits. The junior comes into Wednesday's doubleheader with 209 career hits, seven from tying and eight from breaking the all-time record of Jenny Condon (1987-90) at 216.
- Gomez also ranks second in the Big 12 in batting average (.428) and stolen bases (26). Both of her marks are nearing in on ISU's single-season records of .435 for batting set by Mary Jo Collins in 1978 and her own record for steals of 31 in 2013.
- Iowa State's top hitter in Big 12 play has been freshman Kelsey McFarland. The ISU rightfielder is hitting .387 in Big 12 play and is one of three Cyclones (Gomez and Aly Cappaert) to have 12 hits in Big 12 play so far.
- The Iowa State pitching staff has been led in April by Stacy Roggentien. The senior from Marengo, Iowa leads the Cyclones with 10 wins and 86 strikeouts on the season. She has had many notable performances throughout the season, the most recent being her 6.1 innings, allowing just one run while helping lead ISU to victory over Baylor.
- Cyclone second baseman Maddie Reese leads Iowa State with 10 home runs. Reese has recorded the 10th season in ISU history with at least 10 homers. She has done this after hitting zero homers last season.
- Aly Cappaert is second on the Cyclones with her .320 batting average. Cappaert is nearing the ISU record for walks drwan in a season. She is currently at 25 while the school record is 29.
