AMES, Iowa -- After a month's hiatus from wrestling action in Hilton Coliseum, No. 21 Iowa State (3-1, 1-0 Big 12) returns home to take on Big 12 foe Fresno State (4-5, 1-2 Big 12). The dual is set to begin at 2 p.m. You can catch it on Cyclones.TV or FloWrestling.

-No. 21 Iowa State returns home to wrestle in Hilton Coliseum for the first time in nearly a month. The Cyclones will take on Fresno State on Sunday, Jan. 11 at 2 p.m.
-Iowa State currently leads the all-time series with the Bulldogs, 8-0. The matchup was renewed last year after Fresno State reinstated its wrestling program and joined the Big 12. ISU and FSU met on two occasions last year with Iowa State winning both, 25-26 and 26-22.
-ISU entered the NWCA/USA Today National Coaches' Poll for the first time since Nov. 1, 2016 earlier this season. This week the Cyclones are ranked No. 21.
Individually, Iowa State has six wrestlers ranked across the board. Austin Gomez (9, 9, 9), Ian Parker (14, 18, 12), Jarrett Degen (11, 11, 8), Marcus Coleman (NR, NR, 24), Sam Colbray (19, 17, 16) and Willie Miklus (4, 6, 4) all stand in the national InterMat, FloWrestling and Trackwrestling rankings.
-Scoring points has been a point of emphasis for the Cyclones in 2018-19. In dual action, the Cyclones have seven wrestlers who are averaging eight or more points per dual match.
-Austin Gomez and Jarrett Degen have been trailblazers for Iowa State's offensive output. Degen leads the team in takedowns with 21, averaging over five per dual contest. Gomez leads the team in four-point nearfalls with three on the season. Both are a perfect 4-0 on the year in dual contests.
-The Cyclones opened up Big 12 action on Wednesday of this week with a 29-7 victory over NDSU. In the dual, ISU won eight out of the 10 bouts including bonus-point victories from Jarrett Degen, Chase Straw and Willie Miklus.
-Austin Gomez, Ian Parker, Jarrett Degen, Marcus Coleman and Sam Colbray are all a perfect 4-0 on the season in duals this year.
-ISU posted a third-place finish at the 2019 Southern Scuffle where Iowa State had eight medalists, including a runner-up performance from Austin Gomez.
-This was the first time that Iowa State had finished in the top-4 at a national tournament since the 2014 Cliff Keen Las Vegas invitational.
