AMES, Iowa – The No. 23 Iowa State gymnastics team (8-2, 3-1 Big 12) is set to take on the Northern Illinois Huskies on Friday for the second time this season.
The Cyclones are looking to extend their win streak coming off of a week which saw the team go 6-0. In their meeting with the Huskies last Friday, Iowa State earned their highest overall score of the season.
Iowa State has seen consistent, strong performances from junior Addy De Jesus, who was only 0.025 away from the school's all-around record last week. De Jesus has the top scores for the Cyclones on nearly every event, including a perfect 10.000 on the vault. The Cyclones have also seen five other gymnasts earn scores of at least 9.900 this season.
The event will take place at Hilton Coliseum and begin at 6:30 p.m. Admission for the meet will be free and fans will be allowed to attend, but face coverings and social distancing requirements will be enforced.
