AMES, Iowa - No. 9 Iowa State will look to continue its historic start to the 2021-22 season on Saturday at Oklahoma State. With a win, the Cyclones would be 16-1 for the first time in school history, while a 5-0 start to conference play would happen for the sixth time in program history, all coming under head coach Bill Fennelly.

KEY STORYLINES
-Iowa State improved to 15-1 with a dramatic come-from-behind 73-70 win at No. 25 Kansas State on Tuesday. ISU was down by as many as 11 in the contest and led for just 21 seconds in the game.
-ISU was led by Ashley Joens, who poured in 27 points, including matching her career-best with six 3-pointers, she also had a team-high eight rebounds.
-During the K-State game, Joens surpassed 2,000 career points, becoming the third player in ISU history to reach 2K (Angie Welle, Bridget Carleton).
-Joens, the 2021 Cheryl Miller Award winner, is one of four players nationally who are averaging at least 20.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per game.
-Maggie Espenmiller-McGraw banked in a 3-pointer with 3.9 seconds remaining at K-State to put ISU ahead in the game. The junior finished with a season-high 12 points.
-Point guard Emily Ryan was named Big 12 Player of the Week after a pair of strong performances last week, including a career-best 22 points at No. 23 Oklahoma (Jan. 5, 2022).
-Ryan leads the Big 12 and ranks third nationally with 7.3 assists per game. Against West Virginia on Jan. 2, Ryan tied ISU's school record with 16 assists. She has four games with at least 10 assists in 2021-22.Â
-Iowa State checks in at No. 9 in this week's AP Top 25, moving into the Top 10 for the first time since the Mach 11, 2002 poll.
LAST TIME OUT
-No. 9 Iowa State made a dramatic come-from-behind victory to win at Kansas State on Tuesday, 73-70. ISU led for only 21 seconds in the game, being down by as many as 11 points.
-Maggie Espenmiller-McGraw banked in a 3-pointer with 3.9 seconds to go to give ISU the lead for good. Espenmiller McGraw's trey finished off a 6-of-7 fourth quarter from 3 for ISU.
-Espenmiller McGraw finished with a season-best 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting.
-Ashley Joens led the Cyclones with 27 points, her 50th career 20-point effort. She also became the third player in ISU history to reach 2,000 career points.
