MEDIA CENTER
Back in the win column, No. 22 Iowa State will look to keep its winning roll going at Baylor on Saturday at 5 p.m. The Cyclones are coming off one of their best wins of the season, taking down No. 17 Texas 66-61 on Monday at Hilton Coliseum to snap a three-game losing streak and a seven-game skid against the Longhorns.
INSIDE THE SERIES
Overall:Â BU Leads 34-9
In Waco:Â BU Leads 17-2
Fennelly vs. BU:Â 9-34
FOUR THINGS
1 – Iowa State is one 3-pointer away from hitting 200 in a season for the 21st-consecutive campaign.
3 – With three points, Ashley Joens will pass Oklahoma State's Andrea Riley (2007-10) for second in Big 12 history and 24th in NCAA Division I Women's Basketball history in career scoring. Joens enters Saturday's contest with 2,833 career points.
27 – On Monday, head coach Bill Fennelly became the 27th coach in NCAA Women's Basketball history to reach 750 career victories. 584 of his 750 have come at Iowa State, with the other 166 coming in his seven seasons at Toledo before arriving in Ames.
885 – The Cyclones have made at least one 3-point field goal in an NCAA-record 885 consecutive games, a streak which encapsulates the entirety of the Bill Fennelly Era at Iowa State.
ELITE COMPANY
As mentioned above, Bill Fennelly is in a very small group of NCAA Women's College Basketball coaches to reach 750 career wins. In addition, he ranks ninth in career victories among active coaches and, of the 27 in the 750 club, is one of just 13 to get all 750 of his vicotires at the Division I level.
IRON WOMAN
Iowa State's All-Big 12 trio of Lexi Donarski, Ashley Joens and Emily Ryan are three of the busiest players in the Big 12, all ranking in the league's top five for minutes per game. It is Ryan who stands apart, leading the Big 12 with her 35.8 minutes played per game and having not come out of the game on nine occasions this season. Ryan has played 17 'complete games' in her Iowa State career, ranking second since 1981-82 only behind Stacy Frese's (1998-00) 18.
