AMES, Iowa – Iowa State Gymnastics falls to the Denver Pioneers 196.300-197.275. The Cyclones scored their season-high on Senior Night. The Cyclones were led again by Maddie Diab on floor, who scored her fifth-straight score of 9.900 or higher on floor. Hannah Loyim had her first score of 9.900 or higher on the season, scoring a 9.900 on floor. Iowa State also scored their season-high on vault.
Vault – 49.225
The Cyclones scored a season-high 49.225 on vault and were led by Kelsey Boychuk who tied her career-high with a 9.875. Josie Bergstrom also scored a 9.875, a season-high for the sophomore. Kaia Parker continued her excellent season on vault, also notching a 9.850. Iowa State rounded out vault with scores of 9.825 and 9.800 from Emilie Hong and Maddie Diab.
Bars – 48.775
Iowa State was led by seniors Natalie Horowitz and Laura Cooke on bars, each scoring a 9.800. Loganne Basuel posted a 9.750.
Beam – 48.975
Loyim led the way for Iowa State on beam, scoring a 9.850. The Cyclones had three scores of 9.800 from Lauren Thomas, Bergstrom and Horowitz.
Floor – 49.325
Diab scored her fifth-straight score of 9.900 or higher with another 9.925. Loyim scored a 9.900 on floor, her first score of 9.900 or higher in any event this season. Ana Irene Palacios and Alondra Maldonado each notched scores of 9.850.
