Iowa State returns to Morgantown, W. Va. for the Big 12 Championships to take on top-ranked Oklahoma, Denver and West Virginia. Watch the meet on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. on ESPNU.
Storylines
- The Cyclones are 0-3 against conference opponents this year. However, each time Iowa State has matched up against a Big 12 opponent this season, the team posted an overall season-high score.
- Iowa State posted six career-highs at UCLA last weekend and scored a season-high 49.300 on beam against the Bruins.

- Maddie Diab earned a spot on the All-Big 12 Team for her dominance on floor this season. The senior has posted scores of 9.900 or higher eight times in her 2023 campaign. Diab has an RQS of 9.930 on floor, which ranks third in the Big 12 and 20th in the country.
- Alondra Maldonado and Lauren Thomas each posted scores of 9.900 on beam at UCLA, both were career-highs. Josie Bergstrom also scored a career-high 9.875 on beam against the Bruins.
- Iowa State's two leaders on vault, Kaia Parker and Emilie Hong, will not be competing on Saturday due to injury.
Switching Sides
- The Sooners are the top-ranked gymnastics team in the country. Oklahoma scored a school-record 198.575 against West Virginia in February.
- Denver is the 13th ranked team in the country, scoring a 198.150 while hosting Towson on March 5. Junior Jessica Hutchinson has scored two perfect 10.000 scores this season, one on beam and the other on floor.
- West Virginia scored a 197.325 this season against Pitt and Central Michigan. Senior Emily Holmes-Hackerd has the highest score for the Mountaineers this season, scoring a 9.950 on floor in the meet against Pitt and Central Michigan and in February against Bowling Green.
