AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State men's cross country held its spot in the top five for the fifth week of the USTFCCCA national poll, holding onto its No. 4 slot.
Iowa State finished runner-up at the Wisconsin Pre-National meet on Saturday morning, competing against 18 other programs that were ranked in the top 30. The Cyclones had five individuals finish in the top 50 while three were top 25. Robin Kwemoi Bera led the way for ISU, finishing fifth again after a fifth-place finish at Nuttycombe in his career debut.
In the Midwest regional poll, the ISU men continue to be projected second behind defending national champion Oklahoma State. The Cyclone women are projected fourth behind Oklahoma State, Minnesota and Northwestern.
Iowa State begins the postseason on Friday, November 1 with the Big 12 Championships. Start time in Waco is set for 10 a.m. for the women's 6K and 11 a.m. for the men's 8K race.
