AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State men's cross country will enter the 2024 NCAA Midwest Regional as the No. 4 team in the country, holding its spot in the top 5.
Iowa State finished third at the Big 12 Championships behind then-No. 2 BYU and No. 1 Oklahoma State. The Cyclones had four runners claim All-Big 12 honors as Robin Kwemoi Bera led the pack with a four-place individual finish. Said Mechaal followed in 10th while Joash Ruto and Sanele Masondo were 13th and 14th, respectively.
In the Midwest regional poll, the ISU men continue to be projected second behind defending national champion Oklahoma State. The Cyclone women are projected fourth behind Oklahoma State, Minnesota and Northwestern.
Iowa State runs at the NCAA Midwest Regional on Friday, November 15. Start time in Peoria is set for 11 a.m. for the women's 6K and 12 p.m. for the men's 10K race.
