November Student-Athletes of the Month Named

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State Academic Services has named David Coffey, Abbi Crum, Lucas Morrison and Brooke Naughton the November Student-Athletes of the Month.
David Coffey, Football
Coffey is a freshman defensive back for the Cyclones and recorded two tackles in the win over Arkansas State. In high school, Coffey had 32 tackles defensively while totaling seven touchdowns on the offensive side.
Abbi Crum, Swimming and Diving
Crum is in her sophomore season as an IM and backstroke swimmer. As a freshman, Crum earned Big 12 Newcomer of the Week and became a top 20 ranked swimmer in program history in the 400 IM. The swimmer is also a Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll member.
Lucas Morrison, Track and Field
Morrison begins his first season competing for Iowa State after redshirting last year. Morrison throws the discus, hammer and weight throw for the Cyclones. Prior to ISU, Morrison earned the Iowa state discus Class 4A title and was a three-time state qualifier in the event. The thrower is also a Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll member.
Brooke Naughton, Track and Field
Naughton is beginning her sophomore season. The multi-event athlete just completed her first pentathlon with a total of 3,631, now the ninth-best score in the program. In her first collegiate season, Naughton finished 19th in the high jump at Big 12 Championships. Naughton is a Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll and Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team member.
