Iowa State picked up its second AP Top 10 win of the season, a 96-93 double overtime thriller with No. 7 Kansas State in Hilton Coliseum. The win marked the 19th Top-10 win in school history and the second over an opponent ranked No. 7. Five Cyclones scored in double figures, led by the dynamic freshmen duo of Audi Crooks and Addy Brown with 20 points apiece. Crooks tallied her 10th 20-point performances of the season, reaching 400 career points while it marked Brown's fourth 20-piece and pushed her past 300 career points. Emily Ryan put up her first double-double of the season with 12 points and 12 assists and was three rebounds shy of a triple-double. Kelsey Joens and Isnelle Natabou played crucial roles off the bench, chipping in 13 and 10 points, respectively.

As has been the case for decades, Iowa State is one of the top 3-point shooting teams in the country. Hannah Belanger leads the ISU effort from deep, canning 52 triples through 23 games and connecting on 37.4 percent of her attempts from deep. This season, ISU is 22nd in NCAA DI and second in the Big 12 with 8.6 triples per game. The Cyclones have made 198 3-pointers this season, posting 10 or more made triples in seven games this season.

Iowa State has reached the 25-assist threshold in six games this season (25, Nov. 20 vs. Southern; 25, Nov. 25 vs. Syracuse; 25, Dec. 3 vs. UNCW; 26, Dec. 17 vs. Troy; 27, Jan. 31 vs. Oklahoma State; 25, Feb. 14 vs. Kansas State), matching the top mark in program history from 1999-00. The Cyclones rank 15th in NCAA DI and fourth in the Big 12 through 23 games with 18.7 assists per game. Addy Brown leads ISU with 116 assists this season, the most by a Cyclone freshman since Emily Ryan set the best single-season mark with 164 dimes. Emily Ryan (14) and Addy Brown (9) combined for 23 of ISU's 27 assists against Oklahoma State. It was the first time in the Fennelly era multiple Cyclones had posted nine or more assists in a single contest. In the last five seasons of Big 12 contests, Emily Ryan has posted 14 or more assists three times. Every other conference player has only managed the feat once.
