AMES, Iowa - No. 5 Iowa State closes out its regular season with a top-10 dual matchup against No. 7 Missouri Sunday afternoon inside Hilton Coliseum. The dual is headlined by a 2023 165-pound national title rematch between No. 1 Keegan O'Toole and No. 2 David Carr.

CARR-O'TOOLE PART IV
College wrestling's best active rivalry returns to the mat Sunday afternoon when Missouri's No. 1 Keegan O'Toole and No. 2 David Carr square off in the Iowa State-Missouri dual. The dual should be jam-packed with action with the potential for seven bouts between ranked wrestlers, but none come with the history, accolades and big names like Carr-O'Toole.

In his final match inside Hilton Coliseum, and one of the most anticipated bouts of the college season, Carr puts his 65-0 career dual record on the line against undefeated, two-time defending national champion O'Toole. Carr and O'Toole wrestled each other three times over the final 32 days of the 2022-23 season with Carr victorious in the dual and Big 12 title matches before O'Toole flipped the result in the national finals.

NOTABLE

Last time out, Iowa State topped No. 17 Northern Iowa, 27-14, after taking six of 10 bouts from the Panthers, including tech falls by Evan Frost, Casey Swiderski, David Carr and Yonger Bastida.
The Cyclones have won 13 consecutive Big 12 duals inside Hilton Coliseum dating back to the 2020-21 season.
ISU hosts Missouri inside Hilton Coliseum for the first time since 2021 and is looking for its first win over the Tigers at home since 2010. The Cyclones are 45-12 all-time against Mizzou, but the Tigers have taken seven of the last eight meetings.
Seven of 10 bouts in Sunday's matchup between ISU and Missouri project to feature two ranked wrestlers. A top-15 wrestler is projected to appear in all 10 matches, including top-15 battles at 157, 165, 184 and 285 pounds.
Iowa State wrestlers have pushed the pace and been aggressive on their feet this season. The Cyclones own a 449-148 takedown advantage over their opponents in 2023-24.

Yonger Bastida is still undefeated with a 19-0 record, which includes five victories over top-10 foes. The Cuban heavyweight, who has only allowed two takedowns on the year, will close out the regular season with a tilt against also undefeated No. 5 Zach Elam (20-0).
MJ Gaitan is on a career-best nine match winning streak with four consecutive wins against a ranked opponent.
Casey Swiderski is 4-0 with three ranked wins since making his return to the lineup after missing a month and a half due to injury.
Anthony Echemendia secured his highest-ranked win of the season his last time on the mat when he took down UNI's No. 6 Cael Happel three times for a 9-6 decision.
