Fall Student-Athletes of the Semester Named

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State Athletics Academic Services has announced the Fall 2024 Student-Athletes of the Semester. The four honored are Arianna Jackson, Cade Kelderman, Adrian Meza and Sydney Morrell.
Arianna Jackson, Women's Basketball
Jackson is in her sophomore season as a part of the women's basketball squad. The guard ranks second on the team in made 3-pointers (26) and steals per game (0.8). Jackson hit a new career high with eight rebounds last week and averages 5.0 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game this season. Jackson is a Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll member.
Cade Kelderman, Men's Basketball
Kelderman is a sophomore guard for the Cyclones who has appeared in seven games for the 2024-25 team. Against Jackson State this season, Kelderman had a bucket and put up two steals. The Waukee, Iowa native is also a Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll member.
Adrian Meza, Wrestling
Meza is in his first season out on the wrestling squad. The 125 pounder has a record of 16-6 including going 3-0 in duals this season but is expected to redshirt. He earned a ranked win over Iowa's No. 27 Kale Peterson and claimed a title at the Grand View Open. Meza is a Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll member.
Sydney Morrell, Women's Track and Field
Morrell is a sophomore distance runner on the track and field and cross country teams. Morrell had a sixth-place finish at the Cyclone Preview this cross country season and has hit a 3,000m personal best early on this track season. Last season, Morrell placed 24th in the 1,500m at Outdoor Big 12s and 16th in the 1,000m at indoor Big 12s.
