Cyclones Win The Bama Beach Bash

GULF SHORES, AL— The Cyclones shot their best day of the tournament to secure their first win of the year. The Cyclones shot a five-under round to bring their 54-hole total to a plus 13. The Cyclones dominated the field, beating the runner-ups, UNC Asheville, by 38 strokes.

Pammy Chookaew led the Cyclones and also led the field, winning her first tournament of the year. Chookaew shot a three-under round, putting her 54-hole total to a two-under. Chookaew grabbed her tournament high five birdies to help secure her win. Nichakorn Pinprayoon finished her tournament alone in third. Pinprayoon's best finish of her first year came after shooting four under in her final round to bring her total to a plus two. Pinprayoon also snagged five birdies in her final round.

Karisa Chul-Ak-Sorn took the Cyclones third spot and finished alone at sixth. Chul-Ak-Sorn ended her tournament with a score of plus five after shooting a one-under round in her final 18 holes. Five birdies was a theme for the Cyclones as Chul-Ak-Sorn also had five. Keeley Marx finished her tournament coming in as an individual and placing in the top 10 in a tie for seventh. Marx shot a three-under round with four birdies on her card.

Alexandra Vidal finished her tournament in a tie for 10th after shooting a five-over round, putting her total at a plus 10. Rounding out the Cyclones was Isabella Yan as she played in her second tournament and finished in a tie for 21st after shooting 16 over after 54 holes.

The Cyclones will play at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic next on April 2-3rd.
