Cyclones Win The Wyoming Cowgirl Classic For Back To Back Wins

MARICOPA, AZ- The Cyclones finished the job today to secure the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic and back-to-back wins. Placing first out of 15 teams, the Cyclones showed out, beating the runner-up UNLV by eight shots. The Cyclones shot -8 in their final round to put their total to +4 after 54 holes. Karisa Chul-Ak-Sorn took the gold today for her first win of the year. Chul-Ak-Sorn didn't let up in her final round, shooting -3 while also grabbing six birdies to secure her win with a -2.
Nichakorn Pinprayoon was in the Cyclones' second spot, also shooting a -3 round to place her in a tie for 3rd, making her total a +1. Pinprayoon had a clean round with four birdies on her card and just one bogey. Pammy Chookaew also helped out the Cyclones as she shot a -1 round to put her in a tie for fifth with a 54-hole total of +2. Chookaew snagged five birdies in her final round to help her get another top-five finish.Â
Keeley Marx caught the memo today as she also had an under par round. Marx shot a -1 round, putting her total at a +3 and placing her in a tie for eighth. Alexandra Vidal was the fifth player on the Cyclones to shoot under par today as Vidal scraped up a 2 -2 round, putting her in a tie for 34th. Rounding out the Cyclones was Isabella Yan as Yan shot +4 in her final round, putting her in a tie for 43rd.Â
The Cyclones will have to keep their momentum going after back-to-back wins as they will head to Napa, Cali. For the Silverado Showdown from April 7-9th.Â
