AMES, Iowa – Iowa State sophomore Audi Crooks has been recognized as Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) All-America Honorable Mention, announced by the organization on Thursday evening.
Crooks was named a WBCA Regional Finalist in late March, making her eligible for All-America honors. She led the Big 12 Conference in scoring this season, averaging 23.4 points per game while shooting over 60 percent from the floor. Crooks poured in a season-high 36 points on 14-of-18 shooting from the floor to lead Iowa State to an 85-63 victory over No. 14 Kansas State in the regular season finale. She set single-season Iowa State records for points (820) and made field goals (329) while also posting an ISU sophomore top five mark for made free throws (162).
The 6-3 center has scored in double figures in 67 consecutive games, the longest streak by an Iowa State women's basketball player and became the fastest Cyclone and third-fastest Big 12 player to 1,000 career points in her 49th career game. She ranks 14th all-time among Iowa State's top scorers with 1,455 points through 68 career games.
The Algona native was also named a Third Team All-American by both the Associated Press and US Basketball Writers Association and was a Top 5 finalist for the Lisa Leslie Center of the Year Award.
