AMES, Iowa – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) named seven Cyclones Academic All-District honorees for their athletic and academic work, announced Tuesday.
Those honored are Rachel Joseph, Maelle Porcher, Bella Heikes, Riley Beach, Kiki Connell, Quinton Orr and Gable Sieperda. Orr and Sieperda earn their third-straight honor. Joseph, Porcher and Connell pick up their second, while Heikes and Beach earn their first.
Joseph earned three All-America honors in 2025 as she took First Team in the indoor and outdoor 400m, and Honorable Mention in the outdoor 4x400m. The sprinter is the one and only Cyclone woman to earn All-America in the indoor 400m, and first since 1984 to earn First Team All-America in the outdoor 400m. Joseph totals the top 18 400m times in school history and holds school records in three individual events and two relays.
Porcher is coming off a 12th-place 5,000m finish at outdoor nationals, her second-career All-America honor in the event. Porcher medaled three times in 2025 at Big 12 Championships in the outdoor 5K, indoor 5K and indoor 3K. Porcher also was an individual qualifier for NCAA XC Championships.
Heikes advanced to NCAA West Prelims in both the 1,500m and 5,000m. The distance runner set three top 10 ranked ISU performances this season in the 1,500m, outdoor 5,000m and mile. Heikes also had her highest Big 12 finish earning silver in the mile at Big 12 Championships, and earned All-Region XC honors.
Beach took silver in the 1,000m at indoor conference and ran in three events, the 800m, 1,500m and 5,000m at outdoor conference. She ranks top 10 in the 1,000m and 1,500m at Iowa State and earned All-Region XC honors this past season.
Connell qualified for NCAA West Prelims, going on to finish 24th in the steeplechase. She is the reigning Drake Relays champion in the event as she set the fifth-best performance in school history.
Quinton Orr is fresh off becoming an All-American as he finished 20th in the steeple at NCAA Championships. Orr advance to nationals with the seventh-best ISU steeple performance. He also scored for Iowa State in the event at conference taking seventh.
Sieperda ended his Iowa State career during the cross country season, as Iowa State finished as the national runners-up. Sieperda earned All-Region and All-Big 12 honors during the season and finished 49th at nationals, nearly earning XC All-America honors.
Student-athletes earned the honor for holding a 3.50 or greater cumulative GPA while being at least an academic sophomore. Athletically, those eligible ranked top 50 regionally in track and field, or had a top 50 individual performance at the regional meet.
