AMES, Iowa – Iowa State enters a big week, first heading to UNI to meet the Panthers for the first time since 2022, before opening the home schedule this Friday and Sunday. ISU and UNI will meet for the 60th time in series history.

By the Numbers
1 – Iowa State leads the nation in hitting percentage (0.400) and kills (15.47 per set). Morgan Brandt ranks No. 1 nationally averaging 12.27 per set.
1 – Brandt leads all active Big 12 players with 2,873 career assists. The total ranks eighth in program history.
2 – Maya Duckworth stands two double-figure kill matches away from entering the ISU top 10, currently totaling 51 through her career.
3 – Christy Johnson-Lynch ranks T-No. 3 all time in Big 12 history with 207 league victories.

The 2025 Cyclones
Iowa State enters the UNI match with a 5-0 record without losing a set. It is the first time in program history the Cyclones have opened the season with a 15-0 set record.
ISU hit over .400 in three-straight matches, also a first in program history. Iowa State has two top 10 all-time single match hitting percentages in one day, first against CMU hitting at 0.462 (No. 7 ISU) before hitting at .457 (No. 9 ISU) at Milwaukee. The Cyclones have hit at .333 or better in every match this season. The last time Iowa State hit over .300 in five-straight matches was in 1992.
The Opponent
Iowa State holds a narrow edge in the all-time series at 30-29, while Iowa State will play on the Panthers' home court for the first time since 2021. The Panthers are 2-3 to start the season, with wins over SDSU and Stony Brook and losses to No. 13 ASU, No. 11 SMU and Washington. UNI has two averaging over three kills a set in Lily Dykstra (3.88) and Cassidy Hartman (3.38).
Last season, UNI won the MVC Championship and went on to post an NCAA Tournament win over Illinois. The Panthers took host and eventual national runner-up Louisville to five sets in the second round.
