Cyclones Finish the First Two Rounds of the Colleton River Collegiate

BLUFFTON, S.C. - The Cyclones finish the first two rounds of the Colleton River Collegiate in 12th place (294-288=582, +6) with one round to go. Iowa State responded to their six-over par round in the first round to shoot even-par in the second round.
Owen Sawyer and Paul Beauvy lead the Cyclones, both tying for 11th (-3) after today. Sawyer shot even-par in the first and three-under in the second, carding a team-high eight birdies. Sawyer fired the third-lowest score on Par 3's (-3) in the field today. Beauvy shot below-par in both of his rounds (71-70), and tallied seven birdies.
Jackson McCommon is tied for 50th (+4), shooting two-over on both of his rounds. McCommon totaled six birdies and his second eagle on the season (sixth in his career) in the second round. Dianchao Wu is tied for 76th at eight-over par, where he carded three birdies.
Zach May is tied for 87th, shooting consecutive 78's to finish +12 on the day. Playing as an individual, Jesse Trembath is in 75th place (+7), carding six birdies on the day.
#50 Kentucky currently leads the team race at -12, one stroke ahead of Ohio State who shot ten-under in the second round. Kentucky's Jack Schoenberger and Iowa's Ryan Shellberg are tied upon the individual leaderboard at seven-under par.
The third and final round of the Colleton River Collegiate will take place tomorrow morning starting at 6:45 a.m. CT., where Iowa State will start with Trembath.
