PRIMER: Cyclones Hit the Road for Two Ranked Matchups

AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State tennis team heads back on the road this week for showdowns against No. 44 Baylor and No. 19 TCU. The Cyclones enter the weekend looking to snap a five-match skid.

THE SERIES
Friday will be the 33rd matchup between the Iowa State and Baylor, with the Bears leading the all-time series 30-2.

Sunday will be the 13th all-time meeting between the Cyclones and Horned Frogs, with TCU taking nine of the first 12 matchups.

LAST TIME OUT
Iowa State fell by a score of 4-2 to Kansas on the road. Stanislava Shulzhenko and Julia Camblor each picked up singles victories in the loss.

PLAYER TO WATCH
Shulzhenko has won her last two singles matches, defeating Texas Tech's Polina Sleptsova, 6-1, 6-2, before taking down Yerkezhan Arystanbekova from Kansas, 6-4, 5-7, 6-3. The junior transfer will look to continue the streak this weekend at likely the three or four singles spot.
