COLUMBUS, OH- Iowa State finished off their final round of the Therese Hession Invitational with a match of their first round with an 11-over round. This put their total score at 26-over and placed them in second overall. This marks five top-five finishes in a row for the Cyclonitas, giving them a huge confidence boost with postseason play coming up. The tournament host Ohio State ended up on top, shooting just two strokes better than the Cyclones.
Nichakorn Pinprayoon stayed atop the Cyclones, finishing with a final round score of three-over, putting her three-round total at six-over. This placed Pinprayoon in a tie for fifth, another top five to add to her career season. Pammy Chooakew moved up into the top five as she also placed in a tie for fifth after shooting her third two-over round. Chooakew ended at six-over with three birdies in her final round to help.Â
Karisa Chul-Ak-Sorn moved into the top ten after a final round of two-over par to put her total at seven-over, placing her in a tie for eighth. Chul-Ak-Sorn also snagged three birdies in her final round. Isabella Yan stayed in a tie for 11th after a nice four-over round, putting her three-round total at nine-over par. Yan included a couple birdies in her final round as well as her first eagle of the year.Â
Rounding out the Cyclones was Alexandra Vidal, who shot a final round score of five-over par, putting her total at 15-over par. This placed Vidal in a tie for 26th.
Up next for the Cyclonitas is the Big 12 Championship on April 23rd-25th in Dallas, Texas.Â
